Throwback. By Ree Drummond Published: Feb 12, 2009. I just posted a recipe for French Onion Soup on PW Cooks this morning and good gracious will it ever make your heart dissolve…but in a good way. As I explained over there, I use, as a basis for my French Onion Soup, the recipe of the mother of an old ballet friend of mine.

My version of the Pioneer Woman's Glazed Easter Ham recipe from earlier
Bake the ham for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, or longer depending on package directions. Heat the brown sugar, mustard, vinegar and soda in a small saucepan until bubbly. Cook until thick, about 15 minutes.

Combine ground ham, ground pork, ground beef, beaten eggs, milk and graham cracker crumbs. Roll into 1 1/2 inch balls, and place side by side in glass baking dish. In a bowl, mix tomato soup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar and dry mustard and spoon over old fashioned ham balls. Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour.

Whisk together all the glaze ingredients in a medium size saucepan over medium high heat. Bring to a boil, whisking until the sugar has dissolved. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 4-5 minutes, until the sauce has thickened. Pour the glaze over the ham balls, dividing it between the two pans. Bake the ham balls, uncovered, for 75-85.

Make large meatballs. Form the mixture into large meatballs, about ⅓ cup in size each. Place into a 9×13 baking dish.
